<< 2007 Vintage

This was a difficult vintage that featured both cooler temperatures and more moisture than average.

The Vintage

The spring saw rain, tropical heat and mildew that was perfect for fungus growth. Some producers feared for their entire crop but the weather turned for the better by mid July.

Overall average temperature is the lowest in the previous 5 years but domaines are reporting that they were able to harvest mature grapes.

Due to the early poor weather, crop size is ~25% less than normal.
